Amazing! ... Awesome! ... Tremendous! These are only a few of the words people use when they first experience Princess Louisa Inlet. It's something you have to see and be part of to truly understand.
Glacial action carved the steep sided fjords. These steep sides make for numerous waterfalls and each passing weather system causes major changes to their look. Every trip through these Inlets is unique. It takes many trips, through all seasons to really get to know the area.

Our commentary, delivered by the boat operator on our way up Jervis Inlet is the highlight for lots of our passengers. There are so many interesting features in the 30 mile trip through this fjord! Don't try to pay attention to everything. Pick out what fascinates you and enjoy. When you go ashore you're visiting what was once the homestead of James MacDonald. He grew to think of himself more as a caretaker than an owner. For greatest public benefit ownership was passed from Mac to the society he created, and then to the Province of British Columbia. Princess Louisa Marine Park was created. At the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet is Young Life's Malibu Club. Begun in the 1940's by Tom Hamilton, his "Malibu Club in Canada" was intended to be a luxury resort for movie stars. By the early 50's the project was abandoned and Young Life purchased the camp. Every year since that time a summer program has been operated at this spectacular retreat. |

Scheduled Tour duration: 6-hour day
Depart the Backeddy Marina, Egmont at 10:30 am (it's not essential but
we recommend that you overnight on the Sechelt Peninsula; 2 nights is
even better). We're back by 3:30 pm. We schedule two stops in Princess
Louisa Inlet. We expect to spend approximately 50 minutes ashore in the
Provincial Park, beside Chatterbox Falls. Subject to activities at Young
Life's Malibu Club we'll make a second, 30 minute stop there.
We recommend you make arrangements to bring a lunch.

Enjoy this exciting option on any day our Princess Louisa Inlet Tour is scheduled. The components include the boat ride through Jervis Inlet and the commentary provided by the operator. Go ashore at the Provincial Park and then fly home on the afternoon scheduled flight with West Coast Air.
Your day will be enhanced by the spectacular view from above. The higher vantage gives one the opportunity to look past what the boat sees as the skyline ridge. There are more glaciers and snowfields than are visible from the water level.
Afternoon flights depart Princess Louisa Inlet at 2:15. You should be back in Egmont around 2:45 PM, subject to exact routing.
On this program you will be able to enjoy a longer stay in the Provincial Park, beside Chatterbox Falls. Note there is no visit to the Malibu Club scheduled.

The current schedule is available on the web site. Follow the "Reservations" link. Select the month you are interested in. You can book tickets directly from the web site as well. Make sure to indicate the number of tickets you want on the initial page.
Tour departures are available year round. In low season when there are no schedules with ticket sales available consider a charter. (Charter agreements involve a payment for the boat as a whole.) Email to ask or call to about details.
We have scheduled tours through the early spring, prior to June. From June 1st until Sept 15th tours are scheduled daily. Once any reservations are confirmed we will not cancel the trip for lack of numbers. Until confirmations are issued the schedule is subject to change. Make sure you reserve ahead to avoid disappointment.
