Depart from the government dock, Porpoise Bay in Sechelt.

Our Sechelt Inelt tour is scheduled to run through the winter. Getting out on the water is always a great experience. In winter it's generally calm in the protected Inlets. the soft lights highlight the hillsides and snow capped peaks are spectacular. The cabin of the boat is always warm and dry. Winter is also our best birding season.

Tour Route

Depart from the government dock in Porpoise Bay and run thorugh Sechelt Inlet to Sechelt Rapids at the eastern end of the Skookumchuck Narrows. For four miles we run along the built up areas of Sechelt, Sandy Hook and Tuwanek. This area is the traditional industrial area of Sechelt. Beyond lies the wilderness areas including the regions around Nine Mile Pt, Kunechin Pt, Chaudier Bay, Storm Bay and Skookumchuck Narrows. As we make our way through this water access area the operator will highlight the most interesting features. Or mixed commentary will included points ranging from First Nations, geography, oceanography and current events.

Along the way you'll see commercial enterprises like aquaculture sites and wilderness preserves like the BC Marine Parks. There is natural history and first nations history in the area. This is traditional territory of the Shishalh Nation.
